What do you hope to achieve this week?

Hey Ops Community! It's another Monday morning where I am in the world, so it's time for me to ask you: what are your goals for this week?

I have a confession to make...

If you're anything like me, I get super ambitious every week with lists upon lists of things I want to complete:

There's so much to do gif

It doesn't always work out as I hope, and then I feel like my entire week was a failure even if I got 8/10 tasks completed.

Things had to change!

That's why my Summer Solstice resolution in June was just to get one thing done each week. That's right. One big thing for the week!

This doesn't mean I'm not completing other tasks too, but it does mean that I have one thing that I am committed to getting done, even if that means I let the smaller tasks slide a little. The past month has felt like killer achievements week after week, so now I'm spreading the word.

So go ahead, let me know right here in the comments section. What's your one thing for this week?

Are you ready?

Thanks for kicking this off, @ellativity! For me, my one thing this week is trying to get the most out of the AWS Reinforce conference I'll be at in Boston. It's my first time at a conference since everything shut down, and I know there's so many sessions to go to, and so much to see. I'm having FOMO already!

Oh wow, you totally pre-empted my post for later this week on what conferences people are attending/have already attended this conference season!

I'm having FOMO already!

Lol! Inevitably!

Sounds like you need to take a leaf off post-Solstice Ella's vine and pick one thing you wanna do each day, giving it your full attention. Commit to making the most out of the experiences that you choose to have, instead of trying to have a little bit of everything.

I bet you'll end up having an amazing time!

Yeah, I think that's the right approach. I'll report back on how it goes!

Thans @ellativity for posting this.
After a long vacation, ( after getting my terraform certificate ), i am planning to resume my blogs for terraform, learn docker basics, write a blog on CI/CD using gitlab and same with terraform, and last but not least start preparing for aws devops professional certificate. Let's see how this goes.

Congratulations on your Terraform Certificate, @jatin! Not sure it counts as a vacation 🤔, but it's definitely an achievement!

Looking forward to reading your new blogs and hearing more about your new projects. I'd love to find out whether any of the Docker tutorials the community has been sharing under the #docker tag are helpful for you as you learn the basics, and I'm sure the authors would too!
