Hello everyone!
Erik from Stockholm, Sweden. Currently working with helping companies build and improve cloud-based solutions and architectures, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and platform engineering - mainly with AWS in practice. Worked in a IT consultant role in the past 28 years.
Saw a note in dev.to about this community and thought this sounded like a great place :-)
Thanks for joining the community, @eriklz! We're lucky to have someone with your experience as a founding member!
Nice to meet you Erik, I think I'll want to check in with you about Web RTC and alternatives for AWS, but that's on a back burner for now. I do a good bit with serverless and lambdas, and have used serverless and amplify to deploy.
--Fred
Everyone - @thoughtpoet is a highly skilled backend architect and cloud wizard. βοΈMake sure to follow him!
Thank you, Brad, very kind of you to say that. I looked forward to getting more involved in the community. --Fred
Hello there !
I am derlin, a passionate software engineer (hard on coding) drawn to devops against my will... Mostly working with Kubernetes (AWS EKS) and OpenShift (on-premise) right now, I had to learn the ropes of gitops (and all the tools/technologies surrounding it).
I must admit I enjoy it more than expected ;)
I love to learn (which I do well), but also to share. This community seems the perfect fit !
PS: I am already active on dev.to (same handle), where I post more software/less infra posts. See you there if you are interested !
Sounds like you're in the right place! Thank you for joining The Ops Community, @derlin! Can't wait to read your next post :)
Welcome @derlin! So wonderful to have you as a founding member of our community!
Hey there!
I'm happy to be in this space. I'm a software developer turned developer advocate currently working as a lead devrel engineer at New Relic. I'm based in Israel, but you can find me often at devops and developer conferences around the globe.
Happy to be here!
Ben

Hi everyone! So glad to be part of this community.
I'm Marija from Microtica, a software developer and a co-founder of Microtica.
We're building a DevOps self-service platform for developers to be able to setup infrastructure and deploy apps in minutes.
Naturally because of this I'm interested in all topics DevOps, AWS, Kubernetes, GitOps.
I've authored several articles on devops related topics, so would love to contribute to the community and learn from it.
Welcome to the community, @mmarulka! Thanks for sharing!
Nice site! I look forward to reading the blog articles. Will check out the platform as well. --Fred
Thanks Fred, looking forward to your feedback π
Hi There,
I am Jatin, an AWS Engineer who is trying to shift from developer -> Core DevOps. Have been writing about aws for my employer for quite a time, but nobody talked about DevOps or how DevOps can help modern software application development.
Thank you OPS community for giving me this platform where I can learn and help others.
I will try to focus more on the basics where people who are just joining this community or starting their journey with DevOps are not overwhelmed.
Let's make this platform, this OPS community the best place/home for all the passionate cloud engineers, DevOps and tech guys.
Here is my first blog .
I regularly post about aws, and DevOps on LinkedIn too:-
Linkedin:- linkedin.com/in/jatinmehrotra/
Twitter:- twitter.com/imjatinmehrotra
Welcome to the community, @jatin! We're glad to have you as a founding member, and we also hope we can make this place a special home for all CloudOps and DevOps folks :)
Thank you @patrick_londa for your warm welcome.
I wanted to suggest something for the platform, is three a possibility to create a account/page on linkedin for the ops community, so that members of this community can have better reach when they are tagging ops coomunity in their post?
Ask and you shall receive! LinkedIn page available here for tagging The Ops Community: linkedin.com/company/the-ops-commu...
Thanks for the suggestion @jatin!
Thanks @johnson_brad :D
Hey there everyone!
I'm so glad to have found this community!
I'm Jei from Malaysia. I'm a Developer turned Principal Cloud Architect, focusing on AWS and Azure cloud services coupled with other leading technologies in CI/CD, DevSecOps, Cloud Native, Monitoring and Observability. Been focusing on DevOps & Cloud for the past 6 years building innovative tools and solutions (both personal and professional) coupled with my development background experience working with startups and enterprise companies.
Finally found a home where I can truly share all of my Dev.to articles that are mostly related to Ops/SRE/Cloud <3. I'm looking to learn, share and grow more with the community.
My dev.to handle is the same, where I have been posting my articles so far. Looking forward to starting a journey in this community and growing with it :)
If anyone would like to connect, you can find me on LinkedIn and Twitter.
Welcome @jei! Glad to have you as a founding member of the community. Impressive to see you dig in so quickly. Can't wait to see what comes next!
Glad to be part of this community @johnson_brad ! I've been holding back on posting new Ops related articles in Dev.to wondering if it would get to the right audiences. With this community, I don't need to hold back any longer. Stay tune for new posts coming soon! Got loads to share in relation to AWS, Azure, etc.
I'm an advocate for all things lean, cloud, and automation. I help teams improve their feedback loops, build the right things (not just build things fast), and help teams make data-driven decisions. I believe that people and culture are critical for transformational change.
With a strong background in Software Development, and over a decade of experience consulting to enterprises, my passion for helping people, understanding computers, and problem-solving has made me a sought-after trusted advisor and thought-leader.
Sounds like you've got a great background! Thanks for joining the community, @drewkhoury!
Happy to be here!
Hi everyone πββοΈ
I am a passionate Web Developer & love Competitive Programming.
I am always up for new adventures, meeting new people, and learning new things.
I enjoy the thought of adding value to people's lives and having a positive impact on the world via my work.
Hi,
I'm Rich Burroughs. I work as a Senior Developer Advocate at Loft Labs, where I focus on Kubernetes self-service and multi-tenancy. We created the open source tools vcluster and DevSpace.
Before working in DevRel I did infrastructure work for many years. I started as a sysadmin in the 1990s, and later move into doing config management and SRE.
I'm the host of a podcast called Kube Cuddle where I interview people in the Kubernetes community. You should be able to find it in your podcast player of choice.
Welcome to the community, @richburroughs! We have a Podcast page where we showcase a number of Ops-related podcasts. I'll add Kube Cuddle to that page. It seems like a great new addition with some recognizable experts. Thanks for joining!
Hey thanks Patrick, I really appreciate you doing that!
You can view the Kube Cuddle listing here.
Greetings and Salutations! Fred Patton here, live from the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm an experienced generalist developer and software architect, as well as a newly minted Developer Evangelist. I'm a perpetual student with diverse and scattered interests. I have old-school experience with containers (Open-VZ and LXC), and thankfully docker, docker-compose, kubernetes and enough helm to get into trouble.

Hello World ! I'm moving from Engineer to full stack dev. Using GNU/Linux since 1992 at the time when there was no 'cloud' and each one should build the infra by hand... I'm learning about Docker/Kubernetes and soon will start AWS. Hope find gigs in this context ASAP.
Welcome to the community, @thomas_soares_fdd694bc2e5! Glad to have someone with so much great experience as a founding member!
This October I will be 57 years young... but still eager to learn and keep raising my weights at the Gym.
Hey there this is Clemens,
my path was quite straightforward: PHP-Coder -> IT Generalist -> DevOps
Besides working mostly with cloud technology and being deep into the automation side of things, I am fascinated by the social aspects of DevOps.
I was only a little bit active on dev.to and would like to repost an article on here to see how it fares. So if no one steps up to tell me that it is a bad idea I'll go ahead with it 8-)
Cheers
Welcome, @pirxdanford! Thanks for sharing, and I'm looking forward to reading that article here!
Thanks - it is up, hope you like it :-)

Hi Ops Community,
I am Software Supply Chain and Automation Specialist in the UK. This is the job title I like to give myself as DevOps is outrageously misleading.
In my free time I create mechanical keyboard, woodcarving project (with CNC) or simply write article about what I know about DevOps, Kubernetes and programming.
My Github profile is the best place to see what I have written so far github.com/xNok
Welcome to the community, @xnok! Totally agree on "DevOps" being a bit of a catch-all these days. Can't wait to read what you write!
Hi everyone,
I'm Oneide Luiz Schneider, you can call me Schneider :D. I'm from Brazil and currently living in Germany.

I started in the DevOps world around 2016, with little dockerfiles, and now with k8s clusters on AWS and GCP.
Currently working as SRE/DevOps engineer solving problems using linux, containers and cloud :D
I saw a note in dev.to about this community and it seems to be great.
Sounds like youβre in the right place! Welcome, @oneideluizschneider!

Hi All,
I'm Subbu from United States, been a long time Dev.to user.
I primarily work on android app development, however working in a smaller start-up culture based company, I handle most of their DevOps within the engineering team. That includes configuring & managing tools like TeamCity CICD, SonarQube, Kubernetes on AWS EC2 machines.
Looking forward to add value to the community & see what others work on :)

Hi π
I am Ibrar, a full stack web developer, working on Laravel & Vue. Most of the time I am dealing with AWS and Firebase.
Would love to share and expand my knowledge with this community here.
Welcome to the community, @ibrar_hussain_34cd7158f6c!
Hey Ibrar,
I love Vue, and for serverless, I typically use NuxtJS. I will force myself to use React one of these days, it's just hard to not use Vue, you know?
Fred
Hey @thoughtpoet,
Yup, you have a point. We still have two applications that are still using React but all the new ones are in Vue. Working with Vue is more fascinating.
Makes sense, and at least you guys know the alternative. I'm also glad to hear when VueJS comes out on top--keeps me complacent! ;-)

Hi,
I am Gjorgi, a very general operator in IT, with passion for learning about AI through Python programming, while using Linux as that flying carpet to get to destinations never thought were possible. Met so many cool people along the way, I hope that trend continues here.
I found Dev.to through a post on Red Hat's "Enable Sysadmin" newsletter, then I saw Dev.to's link to this community, and I thought "hmmmm, perhaps I have something to share here from my RHCE journey." I failed the RHCE exam by the way, but I learned plenty.

Hello here, I am happy to be part of the Ops community :)
Welcome to the community, @evoxmusic! :)
Hey folks! Iβve been in the space for about seven years. These days I work mostly with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS. Lots of Go, Python, and Typescript (!). Glad to be here!
Welcome to the community, @benovermyer! Sounds like youβre a perfect fit :)
Hey Ops Community Team.
It's been a superb experience till now using this community. Learning a lot!!!
I wanted to put a few suggestions for this space?
-> can we have a monthly thread at the starting of each month where users, as well as moderators, can post their plan for this month, even for this post i am using this welcome thread.
-> is it possible to incorporate the count for each of the tags? when someone is trying to join the community would assess tags based on count; for example, there are many communities and blogs on AWS or other ops. But if the ops community has a count for each of the tags that would signify how much active are the community users for the tag.
Hi @jatin! Thank for your suggestions and for being a contributing member this Ops Community we're all growing together.
Monthly Ops recap and roadmap -> This is a great idea. I'll circle up with The Ops Moderators and make this a recurring post starting in July. In the meantime, feel free to make general comments about the community on this long-living Ops post.
Tag counts -> I'll have to check with the dev.to folks to see how they enabled post counts for different tags, but it looks like this is possible. In the meantime, here are the most popular tags by count as of this AM:
devops - 233 posts
tutorials - 133 posts
aws - 82 posts
cloudops - 66 posts
kubernetes - 63 posts
productivity - 45 posts
azure - 34 posts
secops - 24 posts
cicd - 22 posts
docker - 21 posts
terraform - 18 posts
Thank you for the update and the count.
Wow, in such a small time, members have contributed a lot.
Way to go Ops Community.
Hello there π
Thanks for the invitation !
I am primarly a backend developer, and have been working with Microsoft tech for many years. I have developed my expertise in Azure over the last few years, and recently are working more on the "infrastructure" side of things.
I am very interested by how the cloud is evolving, how organizations are changing, and how devs and ops are working together. I have many things to learn about cloud native projects as I think this is the future of our industry.
I wish this community will become a great place for sharing and learning π
Thanks for joining the community, @xaviermignot! Glad to have you!
