Hi Ops Community,
I am Software Supply Chain and Automation Specialist in the UK. This is the job title I like to give myself as DevOps is outrageously misleading.
In my free time I create mechanical keyboard, woodcarving project (with CNC) or simply write article about what I know about DevOps, Kubernetes and programming.
My Github profile is the best place to see what I have written so far github.com/xNok
Welcome to the community, @xnok! Totally agree on "DevOps" being a bit of a catch-all these days. Can't wait to read what you write!
Hey there!
I'm happy to be in this space. I'm a software developer turned developer advocate currently working as a lead devrel engineer at New Relic. I'm based in Israel, but you can find me often at devops and developer conferences around the globe.
Happy to be here!
Ben
Welcome @bencgreenberg! @richburroughs @lnxchk more DevOps advocates woohoo!
So excited for you all to start sharing high quality knowledge with The Ops Community!
Welcome to the community, @bencgreenberg!
Hi,
I'm Rich Burroughs. I work as a Senior Developer Advocate at Loft Labs, where I focus on Kubernetes self-service and multi-tenancy. We created the open source tools vcluster and DevSpace.
Before working in DevRel I did infrastructure work for many years. I started as a sysadmin in the 1990s, and later move into doing config management and SRE.
I'm the host of a podcast called Kube Cuddle where I interview people in the Kubernetes community. You should be able to find it in your podcast player of choice.
Welcome to the community, @richburroughs! We have a Podcast page where we showcase a number of Ops-related podcasts. I'll add Kube Cuddle to that page. It seems like a great new addition with some recognizable experts. Thanks for joining!
Hey thanks Patrick, I really appreciate you doing that!
You can view the Kube Cuddle listing here.
Hey Ops Community Team.
It's been a superb experience till now using this community. Learning a lot!!!
I wanted to put a few suggestions for this space?
-> can we have a monthly thread at the starting of each month where users, as well as moderators, can post their plan for this month, even for this post i am using this welcome thread.
-> is it possible to incorporate the count for each of the tags? when someone is trying to join the community would assess tags based on count; for example, there are many communities and blogs on AWS or other ops. But if the ops community has a count for each of the tags that would signify how much active are the community users for the tag.
Hi @jatin! Thank for your suggestions and for being a contributing member this Ops Community we're all growing together.
Monthly Ops recap and roadmap -> This is a great idea. I'll circle up with The Ops Moderators and make this a recurring post starting in July. In the meantime, feel free to make general comments about the community on this long-living Ops post.
Tag counts -> I'll have to check with the dev.to folks to see how they enabled post counts for different tags, but it looks like this is possible. In the meantime, here are the most popular tags by count as of this AM:
devops - 233 posts
tutorials - 133 posts
aws - 82 posts
cloudops - 66 posts
kubernetes - 63 posts
productivity - 45 posts
azure - 34 posts
secops - 24 posts
cicd - 22 posts
docker - 21 posts
terraform - 18 posts
Thank you for the update and the count.
Wow, in such a small time, members have contributed a lot.
Way to go Ops Community.
Hello World ! I'm moving from Engineer to full stack dev. Using GNU/Linux since 1992 at the time when there was no 'cloud' and each one should build the infra by hand... I'm learning about Docker/Kubernetes and soon will start AWS. Hope find gigs in this context ASAP.

Hello there!
I am glad, that now we can have a place to targeted discussion of relevant OPS topics!
Hi There,
I am Jatin, an AWS Engineer who is trying to shift from developer -> Core DevOps. Have been writing about aws for my employer for quite a time, but nobody talked about DevOps or how DevOps can help modern software application development.
Thank you OPS community for giving me this platform where I can learn and help others.
I will try to focus more on the basics where people who are just joining this community or starting their journey with DevOps are not overwhelmed.
Let's make this platform, this OPS community the best place/home for all the passionate cloud engineers, DevOps and tech guys.
Here is my first blog .
I regularly post about aws, and DevOps on LinkedIn too:-
Linkedin:- linkedin.com/in/jatinmehrotra/
Twitter:- twitter.com/imjatinmehrotra
Welcome to the community, @jatin! We're glad to have you as a founding member, and we also hope we can make this place a special home for all CloudOps and DevOps folks :)
Thank you @patrick_londa for your warm welcome.
I wanted to suggest something for the platform, is three a possibility to create a account/page on linkedin for the ops community, so that members of this community can have better reach when they are tagging ops coomunity in their post?
Ask and you shall receive! LinkedIn page available here for tagging The Ops Community: linkedin.com/company/the-ops-commu...
Thanks for the suggestion @jatin!
Thanks @johnson_brad :D
