We’ve opened a body repair and auto paint shop in Leeds. We’re accumulating a lot of damaged plastic bumpers, fender liners, headlights, and a ton of packaging from auto parts. Regular garbage trucks refuse to take such bulky plastic. How can we solve this problem in the UK?

Damaged automotive plastic takes up a lot of space, so standard bins are useless here. I recommend checking out affordablewastemanagement.co.uk/ from Affordable Waste Management. They’ve provided our shop with a large mesh container specifically for rigid plastic and metal. They pick it up on demand, the prices are very reasonable, and most importantly—everything is done legally. What is the size of your workshop?
