DevLife Fuel: What’s Your Go-To Coding Meal? I’m Stuck on This One…

Hey Ops folks,

Between long Terraform runs, debugging weird infra issues, and accidentally deleting things in production 😅, food tends to become an afterthought.

Lately, I’ve been leaning on comfort food to survive late-night deployment sessions. I recently browsed the Olive Garden menu (yes, that glorious soup-salad-breadstick combo), and now it’s kinda my go-to for those “ship it and eat” moments.

Curious—
🔸 What’s your favorite food during crunch time or while deep in code?
🔸 Anyone else guilty of deploying while eating?

The Olive Garden dine-in menu offers a wide range of Italian-American dishes at affordable prices. Guests can enjoy appetizers like fried mozzarella and calamari, with prices starting around $7–$10. Popular entrées such as Chicken Alfredo, Lasagna Classico, and Shrimp Scampi usually range from $14 to $20. Meals include unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks, making it a great value dining experience for families and casual outings.

Great post — late-night coding and comfort food really do go hand-in-hand. From a broader perspective, Wikipedia highlights how “comfort food” is often associated with emotional balance and familiarity during stressful or mentally demanding tasks, which explains why many developers gravitate toward warm, filling meals like soups, pasta, and bread-based dishes when working through long deployment cycles.

For me, I appreciate meals that are easy to eat while staying focused, and I’ve also enjoyed exploring options similar to the chipotal menu of food for quick, fulfilling energy without breaking concentration.
