Hi ! I'm Alexandre. I am a software developer living in Bordeaux, mostly coding in C# and working on Azure projects. I am interesting in DevOps practices, in particular CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code. I am part of the Puluminaries program (recognized members of the Pulumi community). I like to learn new technologies and share what I learn through blog articles.
Bienvenue, Alexandre ! I'm in Côtes-d'Armor 😊
I'm always a big fan of an intro and a first post at the same time, so I appreciate you jumping into this community with both feet - plus you just made it into the end of this Welcome Thread before we start the new one in the new year! 🥳
I've been enjoying the Pulumi content shared by @eriklz so looking forward to reading more from you and others as the community grows.
Thanks for the welcome. Nice to see other french people here. I have just discovered recently this community, great to see specific DevOps content here. I will try to cross-post my next articles about DevOps, Pulumi here (my RSS feed extension is already properly configured). And I will import my older posts too if that's okay.
It's more than okay, we encourage it!
We're still fairly new as a community, so there's plenty of room for more content. Especially on topics that remain niche (even in this dedicated DevOps space) like Pulumi. Cross-post all you like!
BTW, how to you schedule a post here? It seems to be a Forem new feature but I can't see how to do that in the Ops community.
I wrote a post about it here, with a few screenshots. Does it help?
Thanks it did help a lot. I was a bit confused because when I import articles from an RSS feed it is possible to edit then only using the basic editor. And I could not find the button on the basic editor but your post explained everything I needed to know.
Hello, Operators
I'm a mexican DevOps Engineer and JS Fullstack Developer. I'm crazy about shortcuts, opensource / knowledge sharing, multicursor, terminal tricks, automation, vim and efficient programing.
My main stack is Linux, Bash, ohmyzsh, powerlevel10k, Vim, VSCode, Docker, Terraform, DigitalOcean, AWS, Kubernetes, JS, Typescript, MongoDB, MySQL, React, Angular and Svelte.
My latest and most precious discovery was this zsh plugin: zsh-autosuggestions. I can't imagine my life without it
Welcome @ralexrdz 👋 Thanks for such a great intro!
We love your enthusiasm, and it really looks like you're gonna find a bunch of people here to vibe with 🤗
I would recommend starting with @kaiwalter's content and @eriklz's Tidy Cloud Bulletin. You might also like to explore this post about Prometheus by @javi_labs.
Welcome @ralexrdz to the community!! I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy being part of it!! If in need of any help with Kubernetes, Automation or crazy stuff that seems impossible, just reach out and let's
cry togethertry to work it out together.Welcome to the community, @ralexrdz! Sounds like you've got a great background!
I'm yash🤝. The only reason I code is when I am getting paid. Cloud computing, devops, linux, Web3, game dev are just my hobby. I get fascinated by unity3d and 3d texture rendering. I work on cloud or devops field because I want to be jack of all trades and master of one. Currently I am a software engineer at Bosch. My domain now is Human machine interaction. Embedded system. I find myself to be quite knowledgeable because I tried learning many things. Now I don't fear because everything has a documentation. Everything is just 1 google search away.🤝
I just slack off because I get tensed sometimes and feel angry 😂😂😂. That's me.
Do you prefer Yash or Izuku? 😊
Have you ever been caught out by documentation? For instance, when a product has surprised you with poor documentation, or you expected something to be documented but discovered it wasn't?
Yash. And yes that product was ionic.
I noticed the @kanad had made a helpful comment on @aowen's post here and wanted to extend a warm Ops Community welcome to them!
Thanks for jumping in to share that insight into ReadMe
rdme
, Kanad! We hope you'll be adding some comments and content of your own in future. Thanks for the warm welcome, Ella!
Ohai 👋🏻 I'm @ehanlon. Currently, I lead the Azure experience team for the internal engineering systems that build Microsoft Office.
My interests include DevOps, 3D printing and home automation. I look forward to "shaving the yak" and learning more about Kubernetes.
I'm excited in getting back to exploring and learning with this community! 🎉
Hello and welcome, Eammon! We're excited you're here, too.
Sounds like you have a wealth of experience to share and plenty of things you want to learn about, so dive right in and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
I currently share my home with 4 3D printers (2 FDM and 2 SLA) - wbu?
Thanks for the the welcome @ellativity!
Currently, I'm wrangling a CR-30 belt printer - it equires a lot of attention 😂
Which of your printers is your favourite?
Belt printers make me nervous! So much can go wrong...
Both our FDMs are Raise3D N2s (because we liked the first one so much we picked up a second one) so I suspect that makes the N2 favourite by definition? They get the most use. We're renovating a house, so there are always random things that need to be printed. I'm at a point where I wonder how people used to renovate houses without 3D printers!
Whoa! Awesome new welcome graphic @ellativity.
👋 Welcome to all our new Ops Community members!
I'm @johnson_brad, one of the friendly moderators here. In addition to helping out The Ops Community, I'm a product marketer for Blink Ops, a founding sponsor of this community. Tag me if you ever have any questions!
In the meanwhile, we'd all love to learn more about you! Introduce yourself below and let us know what you're working on... ⬇️
Hello everyone.
I am Sergio, I started a few months ago in Kubeshop as a product manager for Monokle, and I am steering the project to be more open, more DevOps and GitOps friendly, that is where I see the future going.
I will be learning a lot from all of you and sharing when I can the things we learn while working to improve what we do.
Welcome @chargio! You're among devops-minded friends here, that's for sure.
Looking forward to reading about the things you learn in your new role. I'm sure you have a lot to share with us!
Hello everyone!, My name is Javier, I am a passionate Platform Engineer and I enjoy learning and helping others in their path to learn.
I like to write articles (I will be posting here some articles I have in other platforms as I picked this community as my main source of articles from now on :D ) as well as maintain my twitter and instagram accounts.
Some times I also upload small tutorials in my YouTube channel and stream on Twitch when I prepare the labs for those tutorials.
This community feels really amazing!
Hope you all have a very nice day!
Javi, how did I miss your intro? It's amazing how much you've contributed to the community in such a short time, and I know I'm not alone in feeling so glad you're here!
Thank you Ella, I am amazed on how cool this community is, I am super happy to contribute here, I am a bit overbooked with work but I will be posting some interesting stuff I am working on in the Kubernetes world ;)
YES! 💪 Of course work comes first, but you know we'll be here when you're ready to share some more of your interesting K8s experiments and discoveries!
Thanks for the kind words. This community is indeed cool - we are made up of such kind and helpful members like you 🙌
Heya everyone, I really love the potential of this space! It's so friendly, and learning and helping each others in a safe environment is the best way for it to happen! 👋🏻
😎 I'm Mel (she/her), I'm a developer advocate at Buildkite.
😍
🤩 I love cloud engineering, DevOps and teaching and learning how software teams are as efficient and happy as they can be - that means, reducing noise, toil, repetitive manual tasks, and having good communication and psychologically safe environments! I want to learn everything relating to this from the community.
Welcome, @melissakaulfuss 👋 Great intro!
Congratulations! This is a really hard thing to do, when you've built a project with your own sweat and tears (whether that's an event, a publication, a community, an app, etc), and it's also so conducive to growth!
More space in your schedule and mind for all the other exciting things!
We're glad you're here, and look forward to learning from/with you!
about time this was here! :)
glad to be here!
Thanks for your patience, @imrj - hope it's worth it!
