What Should I Check Before Buying a Replacement HP Power Supply?

I need some advice regarding a replacement hp power supply for one of my desktop computers. The system still works well, but the existing power supply has started making unusual noises and occasionally fails to start on the first attempt. Rather than risk damage to other components, I am planning to replace it soon.

During my search, I found several options from 365 Power Supply and noticed that they carry replacements for many HP models. Before placing an order, I wanted to hear from people who have already gone through this process.

Has anyone purchased an hp power supply from 365 Power Supply for an older desktop? Did it fit correctly without modifications? Were there any issues with connectors, cable lengths, or installation?

I am also wondering how important it is to match the exact part number. If the replacement is listed as compatible but has slightly different specifications, is that generally acceptable? What details do you normally verify before buying this hp power supply?

Another concern is long term reliability. Have you found certain replacement units to last just as long as original HP parts? Are there specific warning signs that indicate a lower quality power supply that should be avoided?

I would also like to know whether anyone has compared different suppliers before choosing 365 Power Supply. What made you select them over other sources?

Any recommendations, lessons learned, or buying tips would be helpful since I want to make the right choice and avoid ordering the wrong component.
