Hi all,

A student I know recently asked for help checking their overall academic average, and it made me realize how confusing weighted calculations can become when every course carries a different number of units.

Many students still calculate everything manually or build their own spreadsheets, but even a small formula mistake can produce inaccurate results. While looking into this, I found some useful student assessment resources that automatically handle weighted grade calculations and related academic conversions.

I'm interested in learning how others approach this. Do you use spreadsheets, online calculators, custom scripts, or another method to verify weighted averages and academic results?

For those who work with educational data or student records, what has been the most accurate and efficient solution in your experience?

Looking forward to hearing your recommendations and best practices.
